The story of Abraham and his father is mentioned a couple of times in the Quran. It is a story that highlights how opposition and enmity can sometimes come from the closest people to you, because they reject God. Abraham’s father and people were idol worshippers. God tells us in the 2st chapter how Abraham confronted his people and attempted to get them to think. God says in verse 51,
