The 12th chapter of the Quran is dedicated to the story of the Messenger Joseph. Joseph came from a line of Messengers. His father was Jacob, his grandfather Ishmael and his great grandfather Abraham. Joseph was extremely handsome and his position with his father very close. This however, lead to his brothers becoming jealous until they conspired to get rid of him. One day, they leave him for dead down a deep well, despite him being a young boy. From there, he is found by travellers and sold into slavery.
